Seeing less of the expected calls for stricter gun control, even in typically liberal outlets like MSNBC, following the Holocaust Museum shooting. What you do hear is the offhanded reference to people who are lashing out because they fear “an Obama gun ban” or the like; the reference is usually derisive and essentially akin to saying “you’re a right wing loony if you’re worried about gun control efforts”.
What’s funny about that is the very reason we’re not having to worry about gun banning efforts is because for a long time we HAVE worried about gun banning efforts. The only reason the Obama administration is so consistently disappointing the Brady Bunch and the VPC is the President’s correct assessment that to do otherwise is political suicide. We’re not losing the RKBA precisely because we’ve been so diligent about watching political developments that threaten it.

I couldn’t agree more. If Obama & anti’s in Congress thought they had the upper hand they’d be shoving “reasonable regulations” down our throats.

I think we have more to be worried about, on the Local and State level, than the Federal level.
